Perform fittings and complete needed alterations on bridal gowns, dresses, and tux rentals.


Fit garments on customers to determine required alterations.

Measure customers using tape measures and record measurements.

Estimate the cost to alter, based on factors such as time and material requirements.

Sew garments using needles and threads or sewing machine.

Measure garments and mark or pin-fold alterations lines.

Take up or let down hems in garments to improve fit.

Remove stitches from garments using rippers or razor blades.

Record required alterations and instructions on tags, and attach to garments.

Press garments using hand iron or steamer.

Document production by completing forms.

Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.


Work 20-35 hours per week with a regular schedule
